Join us for five unforgettable days of sailing, fishing and exploring the Lofoten islands.
This journey is created for individual travellers, couples and friends who want to experience Lofoten from the sea. You book your own place aboard and share the adventure with a small group of like-minded travellers.
We sail between dramatic mountains, traditional fishing villages, sheltered bays and some of Northern Norway’s richest fishing grounds. Along the way, there will be opportunities to fish, explore ashore, help sail the yacht or simply relax and enjoy the landscape.
The exact route is shaped by the weather and sea conditions. This flexibility allows us to find the best sailing, the most sheltered anchorages and the most rewarding experiences each day.
No previous sailing or fishing experience is required. Our skipper will provide all the necessary guidance along the way.
SAILING IN LOFOTEN
Lofoten has been shaped by the sea for generations. Travelling by sailing yacht gives us access to places that are difficult, and sometimes impossible, to reach by road.Depending on the conditions, we may sail through narrow sounds, cross open stretches of sea or spend the night in a sheltered harbour beneath the mountains. Guests who want to participate can help hoist the sails, steer the yacht, navigate and learn the basics of sailing. You are equally welcome to sit back, enjoy the view and let the crew take care of the sailing.
FISHING IN ARCTIC WATERS
Fishing has always been at the heart of life in Lofoten. During the expedition, we will stop at promising fishing grounds and try our luck for species such as cod, pollock, haddock, mackerel, and the giant halibut, depending on the season. Both beginners and experienced anglers are welcome. Fishing equipment is provided, and the crew will help you get started. When the fishing is successful, we may prepare our catch together and enjoy an exceptionally fresh meal aboard. Fishing opportunities always depend on the weather, season and conditions at sea.
LIFE ON BOARD
Living aboard a sailing yacht is comfortable, informal and close to nature. The yacht will be our transport, accommodation and meeting place throughout the expedition. We eat together, plan the journey and share the experience of travelling through Lofoten as a small group. Space aboard a sailing yacht is naturally more limited than in a hotel. Guests should be comfortable sharing common areas and taking part in the rhythm of life aboard. A positive attitude and willingness to help create the best atmosphere for everyone.
FIVE-DAY PROGRAM
Day 1: Welcome aboard
Meet the skipper and the other guests at SVOLVÆR HARbour. After settling into the yacht, we will go through the planned route, life aboard and essential safety information.We then begin our first sailing leg and head towards a nearby harbour or sheltered anchorage, where we enjoy our first dinner together.
Day 2: Sailing beneath the mountains
After breakfast, we begin a full day of exploring Lofoten by sea. Depending on the wind and weather, we sail through the archipelago, stop for fishing and look for a beautiful place to spend the night.
Day 3: Fishing and island exploration
We continue through Lofoten’s coastal landscape, combining sailing with fishing and time ashore. We may visit a traditional fishing village, take a walk along the coast or hike a local mountain. If we catch fish, we can prepare it together for dinner aboard.
Day 4: Remote anchorages and life at sea
Another full day of sailing, fishing and exploration. Our route may take us into a quiet fjord, past white beaches or towards one of Lofoten’s small island communities. In the evening, we gather aboard for dinner and enjoy our final night together.
Day 5: Final sail and return
After breakfast, we begin our final sailing leg towards Svolvær. bringing our five-day adventure to an end.
A flexible itinerary
This program is an example of what the expedition may include. The final route will always be adapted to the weather, sea conditions and interests of the group. Safety comes first, and the skipper may change the route or activities whenever necessary.

PRICE AND BOOKING
28,000 NOK per person when sharing double cabin
49,000 NOK for solo travellers in private cabin
The price includes five days and four nights aboard, meals, accommodation, fishing equipment and all ordinary boat expenses. Places can be booked individually, as a couple or for a group of friends. You do not need to charter the entire yacht. A deposit of 10% confirms your place. The remaining balance is due 90 days before departure. The expedition requires a minimum of 2 cabins booked to operate. If the minimum number is not reached, guests will be offered alternative dates or a full refund.
